FANTASMAGORIA

Pattern was inspired by optical illusions and its perception in different states of consciousness. Fixing eyes on the pattern creates an illusion of movement. Digitally printed tabletop inspired by Portuguese ceramics with contrast beech wood legs. Maximalism done right with this whimsical pattern can bring warmth to any interior. The idea behind this pattern was induced during my visit in Portugal, while wandering around narrow streets of Lagos, breathing in local mores and customs, indulging on sublime food and fine wine, fascinated by everpresent hand-painted, tin-glazed tiles called azulejos that adorned almost every wall. It's durable and scratch-proof.
